Full Project Description:
This project involved the construction of a revetment wall to prevent beach erosion and mitigate threats to dwellings and other infrastructure along Putney Beach at Great Keppel Island.
Our team was awarded the contract to install the following works:
- Installation of geofabric bags filled with slurry beach sand
- Preparation of environmental, safety, and operational work documentation for submission to relevant government referral agencies
- RPEQ engineer as-built documentation and certification
- Commissioning and handover to the client
Key challenges included working within high tide conditions, the impact of Tropical Cyclone Debbie, and coordination with various government agencies.
